Heinrichshof Winery on the Moselle
Since the 18th century, the vineyards of the Griebeler winegrowing family have been located in a prime micro-location on the Moselle. For a decade now, brothers Peter and Ulrich Griebeler have been bringing their heritage into the future with humility and dedication, excellent craftsmanship, and a deep knowledge passed down through generations.

The steep slopes of the Moselle at Heinrichshof
Located in Zeltingen on the Middle Moselle, the small, exquisite Heinrichshof winery is characterized by a unique microclimate and steep vineyards. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc are grown on its 8.5 hectares of vineyards in the renowned Zeltingen sites of Sonnenuhr, Schlossberg, and Himmelreich. The unique minerality and complexity of the wines result from ideal sun conditions and slate soils, as well as the attentive and precise work of the winemakers on the slopes and in the wine cellar.
The cool, mild climate of the region allows the grapes to ripen slowly and for a long time on the vine, resulting in fine aromas, elegance, and lightness.

Origin and craftsmanship of the winery
The Heinrichshof winery has been family-owned for generations and has been run by brothers Peter and Ulrich Griebeler since 2014 with a deep connection to the Moselle region and a great passion for viticulture. The struggle with the elements, the humility and deep joy that this constant change brings are both a driving force and a challenge. Now in their 11th generation, they combine work on the steep slopes and in the cellar, continually refining their skilled craft with innovation, boldness, and courage.
Dry Riesling, the queen of white grape varieties, prized for its elegance, aromatic spectrum, and aging potential, accounts for 4/5 of the vineyards at the Heinrichshof Winery. The taste of origin comes from the fact that the wines are stored in oak barrels for up to a year, where the careful work on the vines is continued in a subtle and sophisticated way in the wine cellar.
The wines from Heinrichshof are fermented slowly at cool temperatures, partly in barrels and partly in stainless steel. Giving the fruit the time it needs to ripen with as little intervention as possible is both the heritage and philosophy of the Heinrichshof winery.
» The joy of experimentation and skilled craftsmanship are evident in the finesse, liveliness, and natural elegance of these dry Rieslings, which are only available in limited quantities.«
The Griebeler brothers
Born and raised on the Moselle, they are keen observers and courageous entrepreneurs. Since taking over the family business, they have quadrupled the size of the vineyards, yet it remains a family business where everyone pitches in.
Reserved and courageous, bold and determined, their ambition and uncompromising attitude have shaped the fortunes and successes of the Heinrichshof for over a decade. While Ulrich walks along the strictly laid out rows of vines on the hillside, Peter devotes himself primarily to the work in the wine cellar.
Together, the team players bring their vision to life through the natural interplay between the wine cellar and the vineyard. Expressive without being loud, the personalities of Peter and Ulrich Griebeler say a lot about their wine portfolio, into which they bring their collective experience from top international wineries.
The brothers enjoy sharing this knowledge at tastings in their own wine shop, where their work and vision can be experienced and knowledge is joyfully shared.
Sustainable Moselle wines
The work in the wine cellar combines traditional craftsmanship with the use of natural processes. The winery relies on environmentally friendly methods to preserve nature and ensure the quality of the terroir and wines for future generations. In 2024, the winery was certified FAIR’N GREEN based on a comprehensive set of criteria, recognizing its holistic commitment to economic, ecological, and social sustainability.
